About the schoolThe School of Education (Fremantle and Sydney) offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including initial teacher education for early childhood, primary and secondary teachers, and postgraduate programmes in early childhood, leadership and management, curriculum, special learning needs and religious education.
About the roleThe purpose of this role is to make contributions to the scholarly teaching, research and leadership efforts of the University of Notre Dame Australia. The successful candidate will teach, coordinate and lead courses and programmes in Language and Literacy Education in National Early Childhood and Initial Teacher Education and postgraduate degrees and ensure alignment with the accreditation of initial teacher education programmes in Australia: Standards and Procedures.
The successful candidate will also carry out scholarly research, supervise HDR students, and undertake professional activities relevant to promoting knowledge about language and literacy that supports learners' capacities to participate in communities within and beyond school. This position reports to the National Head of School, Education.
Level B (Lecturer)
A Level B Academic Staff Member is expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the institution and to carry out activities to maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional service activities relevant to the profession or discipline.
