About the Role
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Lead, manage and continue to build a team of branch staff, both public servants and contractors, who undertake a variety of end-to-end procurement activities.
- Provide mentoring, guidance, development opportunities, on-the-job training and advice to branch staff, stakeholders, customers across the department, across government and within industry.
- Exercise a procurement delegation, overseeing sourcing and contract management processes.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practice procurement management systems, strategies and procedures that meet business needs, deliver economy and efficiency and ensure consistency.
- Build and sustain relationships with a network of key stakeholders across the Department and the Government.
