Position Overview


St Andrews Lutheran College is seeking passionate and skilled educators with expertise in Legal Studies, and we warmly welcome applicants who also bring experience in Business Studies and Economics. Whether you specialise in one area or have the versatility to teach across multiple disciplines, we encourage you to apply.

In 2026 we will have a permanent position for a Legal Studies teacher, with the potential for additional opportunities for teachers with experience in Business Studies and Economics depending on staffing needs.


The Role


Are you ready to inspire the next generation of critical thinkers, ethical leaders, and global citizens? We're looking for an innovative and dedicated teacher to join our Business Department, with a focus on Legal Studies. We also welcome applicants with additional experience in Business Studies and Economics, as there may be further opportunities depending on staffing needs.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where academic rigour and real-world relevance are celebrated. You'll be supported by strong leadership and a team of passionate educators who value professional growth, collegiality, and student engagement.

Whether you're guiding students through legal principles, economic systems, or business strategy, you'll be helping them develop essential skills for life beyond school.


Selection Criteria

* Demonstrated experience teaching in Legal Studies, Business and/or Economics.
* Strong understanding of both ACARA and QCAA syllabuses, assessment requirements, and curriculum planning.
* Proven ability to deliver engaging, differentiated, and evidence-based teaching practices that support student learning and achievement.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that supports both academic and personal development.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, contribute to faculty planning, and adapt to the evolving needs of the College.


Eligibility Requirements


All teachers are expected to have a current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
