MALE Disability Support Worker (Mental Health & Behaviour Support)
Medika Care & Support Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Male Disability Support Worker to support participants with complex mental health and behavioural needs. This role requires confidence, resilience, and a strong background in managing challenging behaviours.
Employment Type ( Casual)

Essential Qualifications & Requirements
* Certificate IV in Mental Health, or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience supporting mental health or behaviour support clients
* Minimum 2 years' professional experience in the healthcare or disability sector, working with clients who have challenging behaviours
* Experience in emergency or critical care settings is highly regarded
* Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working With Children Check (if applicable)
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Medication administration competency, or willingness to obtain
Key Responsibilities
* Implementing strategies to prevent and manage challenging behaviours
* Applying de-escalation techniques to reduce behaviours of concern
* Managing unpredictable situations where participants may display challenging behaviour
* Using positive behaviour support approaches, effective communication, and safe work practices
* Supporting and assisting participants with daily living activities, including transportation
* Working collaboratively with treating teams, support coordinators, and allied health professionals
