Our client is a leader in the higher education sector and is currently undertaking significant projects to enhance its finance systems landscape.
We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Finance Systems Analyst for an 8-month interim contract.
This role is perfect for a finance professional with a strong background in SAP systems - in particularS/4HANA.
About the role
As the Finance Systems Analyst, you will be a key bridge between the finance department and IT, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for theirSAP S/4HANA Public Cloudenvironment.
You will be the first point of contact for support queries while also driving process improvements and supporting project-based work.
Responsibilities
Act as an SME for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud modules (e.g. Finance, Procurement, SD) and provide first-level support.
Analyse business requirements, identify process improvements, and recommend standard SAP Cloud functionality.
Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests in a timely manner.
Collaborate with business users, particularly finance stakeholders, implementation partners, and SAP support to ensure effective issue resolution.
Develop and maintain crucial documentation, including functional specs, configuration guides, and test scripts.
Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release management activities.
Support the integration between SAP and non-SAP applications.
The ideal candidate:
Qualifications
Previous FICO consulting experience.
CA or CPA qualification.
Proven experience as a Finance Systems Analyst or SAP Analyst.
Deep knowledge ofSAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, particularly the FICO modules.
Demonstrated experience in analysing business requirements and identifying process improvements.
Hands-on experience with system testing (UAT) and release management.
Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently.
