Refrigeration Mechanic / Dual-Trade Electrician (Residential A/C)
$45/hr+ | New Auto Ute | Gym Bonus | Townsville
Integral Electrical & Air-Conditioning
Summer's here — and quality residential air-conditioning work doesn't wait.
We're looking for a refrigeration mechanic or dual-trade electrician who takes pride in clean split-system installs, tidy workmanship, and doing things properly the first time.
If you're a fridgie with strong electrical ability, or an electrician with refrigeration experience or licensing, we want to hear from you.
This is a residential-focused role with autonomy, trust, and long-term opportunity — not commercial rack systems, FIFO, or construction churn.
The Work
– Residential split-system installations (core workload)
– Servicing, fault-finding, and repairs
– Cleans and chemical treatments
– End-to-end job ownership
– Oversight and mentoring of apprentices
– Real homes, repeat clients, and organised scheduling
What You Get
– $45/hr+ (negotiable based on experience, attitude, and capability)
– Brand-new automatic ute, fully fitted (personal use approved, T&Cs apply)
– Free gym membership
– Paid birthday off
– Fortnightly haircut allowance
– Work phone or phone allowance
– Uniforms supplied
– Standard 40-hour week, with flexibility and a genuine pathway to a future 4-day option
– Organised systems (ServiceM8 & Xero)
– Team dinners and coffee catch-ups
About You
– Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic and/or Electrical Fitter Mechanic
– Refrigerant Handling Licence (or eligibility)
– Current driver's licence + CPR/LVR
– Solid residential split-system experience
– Professional presentation and tidy work ethic
– Confident working independently and leading on site
Dual-trade applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
If you're single-trade and interested in dual-trade pathways, this can be supported for the right person.
