Join the energetic well‑being workforce – South East Region – to support young people at Kingston State School in a Permanent Part‑Time (0.50FTE) position.
Responsibilities
Undertake individual and group counselling with students, parents and families.
Provide professional welfare assessments, interventions and follow‑up support as required.
Identify needs and coordinate referrals to community agencies (health, welfare).
Develop and implement strategies to engage parents/carers and the community in school activities.
Act as the contact for parents/carers to improve relationships between the school and community.
Participate in planning, development and delivery of public presentations on social issues.
Monitor, evaluate and review program implementation.
Support school communities during critical incidents and emergencies.
Maintain confidential data collection, record keeping and reporting systems per department procedures.
Contribute as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team within the educational setting.
Qualifications
Registered to practice social work with a recognised institution.
Experience in school or community settings.
Robust clinical knowledge in mental health and well‑being interventions.
Excellent communication, decision‑making and collaborative skills.
Capacity to work within a team and manage a manageable case load.
