We are located in South Eastern Suburbs, Clyde North, and are seeking an experienced Panel Shop Manager for an immediate start at a medium size Panel Shop. Will also consider a tradesperson with the right background and skills who is looking to step up into the next stage of their career.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Accurately assess damage and prepare detailed repair estimates for customers' vehicles
- Communicate repair costs and timelines to customers in a professional and transparent manner
- Dealing and negotiating with Insurance Companies and Motor Assessors
- Manage the flow of vehicles through the repair process, ensuring jobs are completed on schedule
- Arranging sublet repairs as required
- Provide recommendations for alternative repair options or part replacements to optimise costs and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the repair process
- Continuously update your knowledge of industry standards, repair techniques, and safety protocols
- Performing final inspection prior to the delivery of the vehicle to customers, ensuring the quality of vehicle repairs are to pre-accident condition and industry standard
- Finalizing Job files
**You will have**:
- Extensive experience (3+ years) as a Panel Shop Estimator or in a similar role within the automotive industry
- Well-developed computer skills and excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Thorough understanding of vehicle repair processes, parts and equipment Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately assess damage and provide effective repair solutions
- Experience working with iBodyshop, Partscheck & Audanet an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, safety standards, and insurance claim procedures
