Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people and team members, creating a supportive environment that fosters growth and development.
* Implement daily routines tailored to each young person's needs, promoting stability and consistency.
* Transport young people to and from school, day programs, and appointments, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
* Engage in activities and share meals together, promoting social skills and a sense of community.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of growth and development programs, focusing on the unique needs and abilities of each young person.
* Maintain accurate summary notes and ensure a safe environment, upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Requirements
* Current Working with Children Check
* First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid)
* National Police Check
* International Police Check (if applicable)
* Driver's licence
* Willingness to participate in a Worker/Carer Exclusion Scheme Check
* NDIS Worker Check (if applicable)
Applicants should hold a relevant qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention. Additionally, all residential care workers must complete three mandatory units of competency: CHCMHS007, CHCPRT009, and CHCCCS009.
