About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Portable Lineboring Department on a full-time basis. Reporting to the General Manager – Mobile Mining, you will be responsible for managing the Portable Lineboring Department, acting as the central link between sales, technical support, and product development, ensuring customer needs are translated into commercially successful, technically robust lineboring solutions.
Responsibilities
* Identify customer requirements and develop compelling product value propositions to ensure Hofmann is the supplier of choice
* Develop and maintain a pricing strategy that ensures Hofmann Engineering is competitive in the market while achieving the business's financial goals
* Prepare sales-related documentation, including technical proposals, brochures, and presentations
* Support sales growth through engagement with new and existing customers
* Maintain regular contact with existing customers to support equipment servicing, repairs, upgrades, and replacement parts
* Respond to customer enquiries & issues in a timely manner
* Gather and analyse market and customer intelligence to inform product strategy and development priorities
* Travel nationally and globally to meet with customers
* Prepare technical documentation including equipment operation, maintenance, and service manuals
* Facilitate training in the use of lineboring equipment in workshop and site-based environments
* Drive development of the next generation of Hofmann Engineering Portable Lineboring equipment
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement in performance, reliability, safety, and usability

Qualifications
* Qualification in Engineering or Trade qualification
* Previous exposure to lineboring equipment & operation
* Proficient in Project Management
* Sound understanding of manufacturing processes (Machining, Fabrication & Heat Treatment)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information
* Ability to plan, organise and manage resources efficiently to meet deadlines
