* Part time (2.5 days per week), 3-year fixed term position. Located on the Camperdown Campus at the School of Physics

* Base Salary $99,455 - $107,216 (HEO6) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The School of Physics is currently seeking an experienced Program / Project Officer to provide project management support and specialist advice to coordinate the effective implementation of project plans, activities, and tasks across multiple workstreams.
Your key responsibilities will be to coordinate multiple project stakeholders and manage effective communication to ensure project deliverables are achieved. This role is predominantly based onsite, but that may vary during quiet periods.

* experience project managing multiple work streams
* the ability to manage a diverse group of key internal and external stakeholders
* previous experience in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation
* excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills
* numeracy skills with experience in controlling income/expenditure for reconciliation/budget tracking and managing invoice payments and purchases for a project
* excellent administrative skills, coupled with a general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies, and technological literacy with relevant project management tools and web/social media platforms.
* experience in coordinating medium-size events such as public talks, welcome session for students, etc.
