Procurement Lead Role
The role of a Procurement Lead is pivotal in driving the procurement lifecycle, encompassing sourcing, contract administration, and compliance.
* This includes developing long-term procurement strategies, providing expert advice and operational insights, analysing market trends, and collaborating with senior leadership on procurement planning and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing procurement strategies to align with business objectives
* Providing expert advice and strategic insights to optimise procurement practices
* Analysing market trends and supplier landscapes to identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements
* Collaborating with senior leadership on procurement planning and performance
* Overseeing the procurement process from sourcing to supplier engagement and contract administration
* Managing day-to-day contract administration, ensuring compliance and resolving issues
* Maintaining supplier relationships, managing supplier performance, and negotiating terms
* Leading procurement activities for major RFQs related to scheduled vessel maintenance tasks
This position requires strong influencing and negotiation skills, as well as excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities. Experience working in a computerised ERP environment, preferably IFS, is highly desirable.
Requirements:
* Tertiary-level qualifications in procurement, supply chain, contractual law, or a similar field
* 10+ years of supply chain/procurement experience
* Experience in an engineering/manufacturing or equivalent business
* CIPS qualifications in supply chain management
