Head Chef - Remote Village Operations
Civeo Australia seeks highly skilled and experienced Head Chefs to lead the kitchen operations in our remote villages. The successful candidate will work closely with the Village & Catering Managers to deliver exceptional food services, ensuring a smooth and profitable operation.
About the Role
This is a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) role, departing from Perth on an 8:6 roster. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing a team of chefs, ordering and storing food supplies, preparing and delivering meals, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a team of chefs to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations
* Order and store food supplies, maintain inventory levels, and control waste
* Prepare and deliver high-quality meals to meet the needs of our clients
* Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to HACCP principles and regulatory requirements
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 5 years' cumulative experience as a chef, preferably in a large hotel or remote village environment
* At least 3 years' experience in supervising and managing a team of chefs
* Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate
* Ability to create service schedules, manage budgets, and analyze data to inform decision-making
