About the Company
Our large NSW State Government client provides comprehensive legal service to NSW Health and provides oversight and advice on regulation and compliance of pharmaceutical, tobacco, private health and assisted reproduction technology matters.
About the Role
They are currently seeking 10x Senior Licensing officers and 10x Compliance officers with regulatory experience to join their team in St Leonards with some flexibility of working remotely from home. These are estimated 6-month temporary assignments, with a strong potential to extend.
Senior Licensing Officers
Working within the Regulatory Division, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Tobacco Licensing applications and administrative decision making outcomes to ensure regulation and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process high volume licensing applications
- Retrieve, gather and collate information on applicants
- Review and assess complex and sensitive material, determining licensing outcome
- Brief the delegate on licensing application outcomes, revocations, conditions, closure orders and approvals/authorisations
- Remain impartial completing unbiased assessments in a timely manner
- Preparation of documentation including ministerial briefings, correspondence and letters
Compliance Officers
Working within the Regulatory Division, you will be responsible for undertaking field service investigations on retail providers, relating to tobacco control and licensing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct end to end monitoring, investigation, and auditing of retail providers
- Undertake enforcement actions including issues of compliance and penalty notices, preparing for court proceedings
- Generate evidence based recommendations including reports, submissions, briefing notes, file notes and correspondence
- Ensure accuracy, integrity and relevance of data collated to support relevant reporting
- Provide advice and recommendations to stakeholders to develop capability
About You
- Professional, Resilient and confident with a customer service delivery focus
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Solid analytical, conflict resolution and problem solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
- Collaborative individual that can work within a team environment and autonomously
Requirements
- Demonstrated Compliance, Licensing, Assessment or Regulatory Officer experience or experience within an equivalent field
- Proven experience working within a high volume Administrative Decision Making, Licensing OR Regulatory environment
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working within a sensitive/complex, dynamic and high-volume environment
- Ability to interpret legislation and compliance
- Valid drivers' licence and own transport
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 10kg
- Reliable remote internet access
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
