Interior Designer (Remote – US or Australia-Based Applicants Only)

Arches Design Studio specialises in assisting Interior Design companies with the design development and detailed documentation of interior projects. We support our clients through all project stages, including Concept Design, Design Development, Pricing & Tender Documents, Construction Drawings, and the preparation of Finish, FF&E;, Lighting, and Furniture schedules. Our goal is to deliver high-standard documentation aligned with each client’s processes and expectations.
Role Overview
We’re seeking a technically skilled Interior Designer with strong AutoCAD and Revit experience to join our remote team on a contract basis. You’ll contribute to the design development and documentation of interior projects, working closely with senior designers and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical and construction drawings
- Develop documentation packages from concept to construction
- Collaborate with internal and client design teams
- Review and prepare FF&E;, finishes, lighting, and furniture schedules
- Assist in coordinating documentation with consultants and services
- Manage multiple workflows and meet deadlines efficiently
- Maintain accuracy and a high level of quality in all deliverables
Requirements
- Based in the US or Australia
- Available a minimum of 3 days per week (up to 40 hours/week based on workload)
- Proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit
- Minimum 5+ years of interior design experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Experience reviewing materials and furniture packages
- Familiarity with service coordination is a plus
- Knowledge of 3D tools such as SketchUp, Revit, or Enscape is an advantage
- Remote, freelance/contract role
- Core availability 3x days per week in 6–8 hour blocks
- Flexible workload; minimum 3 days per week
- Potential to increase to full time hours based on project needs
