About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and proactive Planning & Boning Operations Coordinator to support SunPork’s boning and processing operations. This role is critical to ensuring end-to-end operational planning, customer satisfaction, product quality, and continuous improvement across our SA operations.
You will work closely with internal teams, customers, and external partners to coordinate boning activities, logistics, reconciliations, and reporting, while championing safety, animal welfare, and collaboration across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate and actively promote a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and the welfare of our people and animals.
* Ensure the successful scheduling, implementation, and review of SunPork’s boning operations, including:
o Processing and logistics coordination
o Reconciliations
o CHEP management
o Customer data requirements (e.g. Foods Connected)
o Timely and accurate customer feedback
* Conduct regular reviews of boning results and reconciliations, ensuring feedback is provided to Big River Pork, customers, and SunPork internal teams.
* Identify and collaborate with key stakeholders on product quality and yield improvement initiatives.
* Work proactively with SunPork Planning and Livestock teams to identify efficiencies and promote a consistent, “one SunPork” approach to planning and procurement.
* Support workforce capability by ensuring training plans and role backup arrangements are maintained to cover periods of leave or absence.
* Collaborate across teams to ensure customer complaints are investigated thoroughly, corrective actions are implemented promptly, and clear feedback is provided.
* Coordinate the smooth implementation of new product requests and specification changes.
* Prepare and deliver detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports for customers, Big River Pork, and internal stakeholders.
* Monitor and manage CHEP requirements for SA operations, ensuring production needs are met while maintaining cost-effective stock levels.
* Proactively communicate across all sites to improve understanding of business priorities, objectives, and team culture.
* Undertake any other reasonable and lawful duties as required.
Desired Skills and Experience About You

* Experience in planning, production, or operations coordination, ideally within food processing or FMCG
* Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
* Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
