R.M.Williams is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a growing team across our manufacturing and distribution centre (DC) sites. This pivotal role ensures our equipment and facilities operate at optimal performance, minimising downtime while driving safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.As Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering proactive maintenance strategies, supporting technical innovation, and fostering a strong team culture focused on safety and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth.Maintenance Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a proactive preventive maintenance strategy to minimise machine downtime and ensure optimal performance across all sites.Oversee all repair and maintenance operations, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient completion of work across equipment, machinery, and facilities.Financial & Resource Management: Manage the maintenance budget, including cost-effective procurement and inventory control of spare parts and equipment.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with production and quality teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and drive process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.Safety, Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with WHS regulations and environmental standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to proactively identify and address risks.Experience / Technical RequirementsProven leadership experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong technical knowledge of maintenance systems, tools, and best practices, with a focus on minimising downtime and enhancing reliability.A clear understanding of the commercial impact of equipment downtime and the ability to implement strategies to mitigate it.Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams with a strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and professional development.Solid understanding of WHS legislation and Australian/New Zealand compliance standards.Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.Relevant Australian Trade Qualification (Certificate III or equivalent); Lean or 5S certification is desirable.What We OfferAside from working for an iconic Australian company with a culture of growth, development & team spirit, we offer a competitive benefits package including:Generous product allowance40% employee discountAnnual bonus policy & salary reviewsEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid parental leavePaid volunteer leaveAccess to discounts on private health insurance and online wellness programAbout R.M.WilliamsSince 1932, R.M.Williams has answered a call for hardwearing, timeless products that can hold up against the harsh conditions of the Australian outback - and look good whilst doing it.
