About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, warm, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Mackay office. As the first point of contact, you’ll create a welcoming and professional experience for clients and visitors. This is a flexible role, with options for full time or school hours (Monday to Friday).
This is a job-share role, working alongside our existing receptionist to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You will provide reception cover and assist with Office Clerk duties when required. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and start a career in law or office administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for clients and visitors
* Warmly greet clients and maintain a professional and welcoming demeanour at all times
* Answer and direct incoming calls efficiently and professionally
* Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
* Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating meeting rooms
* Maintain the reception area to a high standard
* Provide administrative support including filing, scanning, and data entry
* Assist solicitors and support staff as required
When required, assist with Office Clerk duties, including mail handling, document delivery to local businesses, ordering supplies and catering, and event preparation.
About You
* Reliable and dependable, with a strong work ethic
* Strong customer service skills and a professional, well-presented manner
* Friendly, approachable, and confident interacting with a wide range of people
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
* Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
* A genuine interest in law and office administration
* A current driver’s licence
