The role being offered is a junior position, assisting the housekeeper in the mornings by stripping used linen from beds, making beds with fresh linen, vacuuming and wiping down. After cleaning is complete, you will check rooms against a quality assurance checklist.
In the afternoon, you will assist with basic reception duties, including processing new reservations, welcoming and checking in new guests and some laundry duties.
No experience necessary. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training in all aspects of the role. The opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Hospitality may also be available to the right candidate.
The role is a permanent position, 7-8 hours per day, five days per week (38 hours per week total) on a shift roster that could include weekend work and evening shifts until 7pm. Pay is in accordance with the Hospitality Industry General Award Introductory Level, depending on your age.
The successful candidate must reliable, fit and energetic and available to work on any given day including weekends or public holidays if required (we are closed on Christmas Day/Boxing Day).
The preferred candidate will have a car licence and access to a car.
