Job Summary
As a Critical Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center's critical facilities. This includes performing routine maintenance, shadowing senior engineers to develop expertise, and monitoring the Building Monitoring System (BMS) to resolve alarms.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform regular preventative and corrective maintenance on-site to critical facility components and systems.
* Assist in the development of expertise in complex repairs, maintenance, installations, and on-site inspections of critical facility systems.
* Monitor the BMS and resolve specialized issues requiring significant judgment and implications.
* Operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and life-safety systems.
* Implement energy efficiency measures and coordinate with vendors to ensure maintenance activities are carried out per standards and requirements.
* Track and implement the work approval process for service providers and identify Single Points of Failure.
Qualifications and Skills
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of mission-critical environments.
* Possess trade or degree qualifications relevant to engineering and an electrical/mechanical background.
* Showcase vendor management and coordination skills, as well as a collaborative mindset and ability to work well with different people at various skill levels.
* Ability to maintain information, adapt to new environments, and training.
