Desktop Support Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and a strong background in technical support. This role requires the ability to prioritize tasks, work autonomously, and maintain a high level of professionalism. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance to clients, including hardware and software troubleshooting, remote support, and service delivery.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Desktop Support Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of desktop services are delivered to a high standard, aligned with our customers' business requirements. You will provide tailored maintenance services, hardware and software break/fix support, remote support, software deployment, and relocation services. This is an onsite role located in Newcastle, and eligibility requires Australian citizenship and an AGSVA Baseline clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Providing technical support to clients in a fast-paced environment
* Assisting new users with IT hardware collection and setup
* Ensuring new equipment is up-to-date and deployment-ready prior to release to customers
* Recording client contacts in the ITSM tool
* Maintaining customer infrastructure as directed
* Initiating and driving service and process improvements

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Exceptional customer experience skills
* Able to prioritize work to ensure SLA achievement
* Sound knowledge of laptops, desktop PCs, printers, media, and audio-visual equipment and mobility devices
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to articulate technical information to the target audience
