Experiencing rapid growth, shaping projects that matter, a vacancy exists for an experienced project coordinator to take the next step in their career and join a dynamic and supportive team on a full-time basis.
As they continue to expand, delivering high-quality projects across Melbourne, they are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented project coordinator to support the project management team and help drive operational excellence.
This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of construction processes, with an ability to provide accurate and efficient project support.
Your new role
Based full-time in the office, and reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing documentation, and supporting the delivery of construction works across multiple sites.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
* Preparation and management of purchase orders and subcontractor agreements, and sourcing and negotiating project costs with suppliers and contractors.
* Placing orders aligned with BOQs whilst adhering to project budgets.
* Compilation of site packs including OHS documentation, as well as coordination of deliveries and scheduling of site works with supervisors and trades.
* Provide administration support to the project management team, whilst maintaining accurate document control and project records.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
* Ability to read and understand construction plans and documents.
* Solid understanding of the commercial and residential construction building process.
* Proficiency in learning new software systems, and strong experience with Word and Excel packages.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with an ability to build rapport with internal and external customers.
* High level of initiative, problem-solving and attention to detail, with a solution-focused mindset.
* Well-developed time management skills, with an ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Committed to confidentiality and company policies.
* Team-oriented with a willingness to support others.
* Participate in site meetings as required.
