Overview

Tamborine Mountain Community Kindergarten caters for children aged 3-5 years. We are a single unit Kindergarten, affiliated with The Gowrie QLD as our Central Governing Body. TMCK is Tamborine Mountains only community based Kindergarten, operating for over 42 Years and are awarded an Exceeding Rating. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care for our community. Our focus is on excellence, inclusion and building strong connections with children, families and our community.


About the Role

We have had a rare opportunity for an experienced and passionate non-contact Early Childhood Nominated Supervisor/Business Manager to join our team. This role is permanent part time (50 hours a fortnight) and available for an immediate start. Days and times can be flexible, supporting both our Kindergarten Programs, families and educators, offering a chance to lead and inspire our well established team.


Responsibilities

As the Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kindergarten, and will be supported by the Lady Gowrie support team, Offsite Bookkeeper and our Executive Committee. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and professional work environment, while ensuring the ongoing success of our education and care program, bringing a warm, energetic and friendly nature to the role.


Qualifications & experience

* Minimum Diploma in Children\'s Services or Bachelor\'s Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (Recognised by ACECQA as an early Childhood Teaching Qualification)
* Previous experience in a leadership role is required.
* Previous experience and an understanding of the operations of a community-based organisation beneficial but not essential.
* Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and National Quality Framework.
* Current First Aid and CPR, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
* Current BlueCard (Working with Children Check).
* Current Child Protection Training or willing to complete on commencement.
* Highly Developed Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
* Demonstrate great time management, reliability and organisational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal Skills and ability to relate to Children, Parents, Community and Staff with warmth and respect.


Tasks & responsibilities

* Work collaboratively with the Approved Provider (Parent Management Committee), and ECT/Educational Leader by engaging in reflective practice providing feedback, information and issues of concern for Quality Improvement Plans, staff/committee meetings and excellent service delivery.
* It is an expectation of this role that the successful applicant takes an active role in the kindergarten's social events, professional development and networking requirements and committee meetings.
* Provide a warm, secure, caring, and responsive learning environment that engages children in learning and development within a play-based approach that empowers children's sense of agency.
* Adhere to WHS, health and hygiene policies and procedures in ensuring a safe learning environment for children, staff and families.
* Assist in the development of the service Sustainability Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan and Quality Improvement Plan and Self-Review.
* Be empowered to bring your ideas, interests and experience in early childhood education as you work in a respectful, professional, collaborative, positive workplace.
