What You'll Be Doing
The position is responsible for leading, guiding and managing the delivery of speech pathology services to families engaged in the Sustaining NSW Families (SNF) program.
As a senior clinician, the speech pathologist is responsible for overseeing and providing an efficient and effective service through applying clinical expertise and knowledge in the management of children aged 0-2 years with communication and feeding development challenges, including speech, language, social skills, and fluency.
They will also contribute to senior departmental duties including clinical supervision, leading quality improvement activities, participation in service development and other administrative responsibilities as required.

SWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney.
Services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care.
The team supports diverse populations with specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities.
With over 800 dedicated staff, the service ensures high-quality care close to where people live.

Qualification and Experience
Must hold a bachelor or postgraduate degree in speech pathology accredited as eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
Demonstrated advanced clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist in paediatric settings, including work with the 0-2 age group in a community setting.
Ability to provide safe, compassionate, high-quality care that is culturally responsive.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and respond to care needs.
Evidence of critical thinking in delivering evidence-based care.
Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
NSW license holders must obtain NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) within three months of appointment.
Learner's licenses are not permitted.
