Support clients' return to work and life after injury as a Graduate Provisional Psychologist at APM, with dedicated professional development and a focus on diversity.
Your role
Responsibilities
* Providing initial assessment, testing, and brief interventions for job seekers with psychosocial and mental health barriers to employment
* Performing new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, and recovery support
* Conducting initial assessments and case management for injured workers returning to employment
* Assessing and reporting on psychological functional capacities and completing psychological functional assessments
* Conducting intelligence testing and reporting
* Assessing and making recommendations on the effects of mental health and medical conditions on work ability
* Writing detailed case notes and reports
* Working with adult clients from diverse socioeconomic, educational, psychosocial, and nationality backgrounds
* Providing Adjustment to Injury counselling and Vocational Counselling in-person and via phone to support client rehabilitation
* Collaborating with a team of dedicated allied health professionals
About you
Qualifications
* Hold a Master's degree in Psychology
* Be eligible for Provisional Psychology registration with AHPRA upon graduating
* Be eligible for the 5+1 supervision
* Have graduated in the last 12 months or be graduating in 2025
* Pass a national criminal check prior to commencing employment
* Have full Australian working rights
* Hold a full driver's license, own vehicle, and comprehensive insurance
* Demonstrate effective communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
* Show enthusiasm, dedication, and a desire to collaborate and contribute fresh ideas
