The QCM Group are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of our construction operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost control, and strategic financial planning to ensure the financial health of the company. Experience in the construction industry is preferred to effectively manage project-based finances, contract compliance, and cash flow cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
* Develop and manage monthly/annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
* Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management.
* Conduct variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and recommend corrective actions.
Cost & Project Accounting
* Monitor project costs and profitability, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead.
* Ensure accurate allocation of costs to projects and track project-specific budgets.
* Work closely with project managers to control spending and optimize margins.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
* Manage company cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for ongoing operations and projects.
* Monitor receivables, payables, and working capital to support healthy financial operations.
* Forecast and manage funding requirements for new and ongoing projects.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
* Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial reporting.
* Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks as needed.
Contract & Risk Management
* Review financial terms in construction contracts to ensure commercial viability.
* Assess financial risks related to projects and suggest mitigation strategies.
* Assist in pricing, tender submissions, and bid analysis from a financial standpoint.
What You Will Need
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting,
* Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA
* Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Proficiency with computer software, including Excel and other accounting packages
