The Stantec Water team in Australia collaborates across disciplines to deliver water infrastructure projects from feasibility through detailed design and construction support.We are seeking motivated Civil & Senior Civil Engineering professionals to join our expanding NSW Water Group to assist on water infrastructure projects.
You will be part of a team that designs with community in mind to deliver program and project excellence for water clients in metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.ResponsibilitiesPlan, program and coordinate specific projects with the Project Manager to deliver outputs on budget, on time and to quality standardsManage and assist in civil engineering design, design management, and project management from planning, feasibility/concept design, detailed design, through construction support as lead or as part of a larger teamPerform a broad range of water and wastewater infrastructure engineering design tasks, including drawings, reports, presentations, and regulatory/funding applicationsDevelop conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs using engineering calculations, sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and documentation in various civil phasesPrepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client communications related to projectsCoordinate technical activities and designs with other disciplines; act as liaison between senior engineer and design teamEnsure outputs conform to project scope, are safe and of appropriate quality (verified by independent review)Participate in information sharing networks and knowledge initiativesContribute to proposals and bid development to support business development, including preparing proposal materialQualificationsBachelor Degree in Engineering – Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalentChartership or working towards it is highly regarded4 years professional experience for a Civil Engineer or 6 years for a Senior Civil Engineer in consulting or engineering within the water industryProven design experience in the water and wastewater industryStrong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networksExperience in water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban water authorities (desirable but not essential)Experience dealing with clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companiesStantec OfferingsAlong with an attractive salary, we offer a healthy and vibrant culture with many benefits to support professional development and wellbeing.Flexible Working Arrangements – including options to work part-time and from homeLearning and Talent Development ProgramsPurchasing up to four weeks' additional leaveProfessional Registration and MembershipsSalary Continuance Insurance and Salary PackagingEmployee Resource Groups such as Women@Stantec and Pride@StantecConnecting employees through the Developing Professionals GroupMental Health and Wellbeing Programs including Employee Assistance ProgramService Recognition AwardsAbout UsStantec is a global community of approximately 34,000 employees across 450 locations.
