Based in our regional referral Emergency Department, HMOs work at the frontline of acute care, managing a diverse case mix including trauma, paediatrics, mental health presentations, and complex medical emergencies. This role offers a valuable stepping stone towards ACEM training, with a strong emphasis on independent decision-making, procedural skills, and critical thinking in a time-sensitive environment.

The program offers regular consultant-led teaching, protected education time, and simulation-based learning, all within a department known for its supportive team culture and strong senior presence. As a regional health service, Bendigo Health provides a level of autonomy and responsibility not always accessible in metropolitan settings—ideal for doctors ready to take the next step in their Emergency Medicine careers.

If you're ready to commit to Emergency Medicine training and are looking for a challenging, well-supported environment to grow your skills, the Emergency HMO role at Bendigo Health offers an excellent foundation.
