Who you are
You're a passionate educator and clinical scientist with a strong foundation in medical laboratory science and a drive to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. You bring professional experience in pathology disciplines such as haematology, microbiology, clinical biochemistry, transfusion science, or histopathology, and you're ready to share your knowledge through reflective, student-centred teaching.
What you'll do
As an Education Specialist in the School of Health and Medical Sciences, you will play a key role in delivering and enhancing UniSQ's accredited Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science program. Your responsibilities will include:
* Designing and delivering high-quality, evidence-informed learning experiences.
* Supporting students through clinical placements and professional development.
* Engaging in scholarly teaching practices and reflective evaluation to improve learning outcomes.
* Contributing to curriculum development and digital innovation in teaching.
* Participating in service and engagement activities within the School and broader professional community.
What will help you succeed
You hold a postgraduate qualification (Master's or PhD) in a relevant discipline and have demonstrated experience in delivering engaged, scholarly approaches to teaching. In addition, you will have:
* Clinical and academic expertise in medical laboratory science, with a strong understanding of contemporary pathology practices.
* Experience in tertiary teaching, particularly in clinical education and placement coordination.
* Commitment to student success, with a focus on employability, inclusion, and reflective learning.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across academic and industry settings.

* Salary: Total remuneration range of $133,256 to $157,504 pa
