The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2), Northern Sydney Cancer Centre (NSCC) provides specialist clinical care to patients who have identified individual needs related to their Oncology/Haematology treatment pathway. The position is being offered on a full time, permanent basis.

Where you'll be working
The CNS will provide a service in consultation with the relevant multidisciplinary teams, Cancer Nurse Coordinators, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Nurse Practitioners and contribute their own advanced clinical knowledge toward the planning and implementation of high quality nursing care to ensure safe clinical management of this patient group. This will include consideration of care requirements for these patients as well as admission avoidance initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service. The CNS employs advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated knowledge and ability to mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance professional development.
* Demonstrated experience in leading and initiating activities to improve clinical service delivery and patient clinical outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
