Job Overview
We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Sorell facility.
This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our machinery and equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Attend to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery in a timely manner
2. Reduce reactive maintenance and proactively improve unplanned downtime
3. Assist in developing and introducing maintenance programs to support all internal stakeholders
4. Ensure the execution of safety standards and quality assurance practices into all repairs and maintenance activities
5. Identify and escalate Animal Welfare, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards and risks
6. Take personal responsibility to ensure livestock is treated humanely by self and others

Requirements
* Experience in servicing, repair, and maintaining various equipment, including but not limited to automated packing machinery, conveyors, hydraulics, and more, in an industrial manufacturing environment
* Demonstrated commitment to Occupational Health and Safety practices
* Experience in fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
* Experience in breakdown as well as preventive maintenance
* Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships, communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders
* Proven skills in the areas of attention to detail, information processing and problem solving with the ability to multitask
* Experience with Maximo as a CMMS would be an advantage
* Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
