Job Description

Location: Mawson Lakes Residential Care Home.
Join us as a Care Services Manager and shape your future and ours. The Care Services Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for leading a highly skilled clinical team of Registered and Enrolled Nurses caring for residents. You will lead a multidisciplinary team that delivers a range of services that both meet and exceed all required standards. The role will incorporate efficient monitoring of clinical systems and staff management, including liaising with external agencies, conducting effective assessments and reviews of client needs, planning, coordination and case management.
Responsibilities
* Managing operations associated with the delivery of care and other support services to residents to ensure residents' quality of life monitoring and reviewing client needs and update Agreed Support Plans to reflect any changes.
* Working closely with and building positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders, including residents, families, and staff, as well as managing quality improvement activities to achieve specific goals and objectives.
* Assisting the Clinical Nurse and Residential Services Manager to ensure the delivery of care through daily clinical triage and assessment.
* Being an integral member of the leadership team and working collaboratively to ensure residents needs are met. You are a natural teacher, increasing the knowledge and skills of staff in a clinical setting including providing support, guidance and education to new graduates and junior clinicians.
Qualifications
Required
* Current registration as Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
* Experience in a leadership role with demonstrated capability in workload management, performance management, critical thinking and problem solving.
* Understanding of financial, material and human resources management.
* Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement.
* Experience working within regulatory and legislative practice parameters in relation to nursing practice.
* A valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable
* Post basic qualifications relevant to aged care or management.
* Understanding of the aged care sector and contemporary issues relating to the Aged Care Industry.
* Knowledge and experience of documentation and continuous improvement requirements in aged care.
