About The Role Reporting to the Head of Finance and partnering with designated business units, to embed finance within operations.
This is not an advisory role sitting on the sidelines. It is a hands‑on position designed to be a key link between finance and the business, ensuring leaders understand and own their P&L, manage costs proactively and make informed commercial decisions. You will be the person they turn to for clarity, challenge and financial insight.
You will bring together the full P&L picture and help leaders understand the financial and operational drivers of performance. Success will be evident when business leaders actively seek your challenge and insight and take clear accountability for financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary finance counterpart to Executive General Managers, translating financial results into actionable insights.
Collaborate with business units to understand priorities, initiatives, and challenges to achieve strategic objectives.
Provide tailored analysis and advice to business unit leaders, identifying opportunities and risks.
Monitor P&L performance against KPIs and budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Lead monthly meetings with executives/managers to review results and key financial drivers.
Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support cost control initiatives to meet short‑ and long‑term targets.
Challenge assumptions, proposals, and business cases to ensure commercially sound, strategic decisions.
Coordinate preparation and analysis of annual budgets, forecasts, and reporting packs.
Develop meaningful, insightful reporting to support decision‑making across business units.
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, KPIs, and business unit performance reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and external reporting requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and automation initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related with supporting CPA or CA qualifications.
Extensive experience in a diverse business partnering role.
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operational leaders to drive financial performance and influence strategic decision‑making.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting standards, and control frameworks.
Experience with ERP systems, financial modelling tools, and advanced Excel.
Confident working with senior leadership and non‑finance stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and month‑end deadlines.
Communicates clearly and can translate financial information into useful insight for non‑finance audiences.
