Field Sales Manager – National Portfolio | Local Food Packaging Manufacturer
About the organisation: Step into a high‐impact, field sales leadership role with a proud Australian manufacturer and a trusted partner to many of the country's best‐known food producers, retailers, and food‐service brands. This business is an industry leader in high‐quality food packaging, recognised for its innovation, reliability, and commitment to safety, performance, and sustainability.
With a strong balance sheet, blue‐chip client base and an ANZ footprint, this business is in an exciting phase of stabilisation, reset, and growth. To support this next chapter, they are looking for a commercially sharp, hands‐on Field Sales Manager to lead a significant portfolio and help elevate their sales performance across the eastern states.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Sales for ANZ, you will take ownership of around $45 million in revenue and lead a small geographically dispersed team of four direct reports (1 Internal Sales and 3 Account Managers across NSW, QLD, and VIC). You will also have a remit to expand this team from the outset.
In this role, you will
* Lead, coach, and develop field and internal sales teams to achieve revenue and customer growth targets.
* Drive sales cadence, discipline, and execution – ensuring robust pipeline management, forecasting and account planning.
* Strengthen relationships with key national and strategic customers, ensuring the business is deeply aligned to their needs.
* Oversee territory and account management across the eastern states, ensuring strong coverage and customer engagement.
* Play a key role in executing change initiatives and collaborating cross‐functionally with operations, marketing, and finance.
* This is a genuinely influential role where you will translate strategy into front‐line action, lift capability, and have clear line‐of‐sight between your leadership and business performance.
About you
You are a proven field sales leader who enjoys being close to customers and to your team, and you thrive in environments of purposeful change and growth.
What you will bring
* Demonstrated experience leading field sales teams (state, regional or national remit).
* Strong sales cadence discipline – you are structured around pipeline, activity, forecasting and follow‐through.
* Sharp commercial acumen, with the ability to balance growth, margin, and customer value.
* A hands‐on, coaching‐led leadership style – you develop people, set clear expectations, and hold teams to account.
* Comfort working in a business that is evolving – you can help stabilise, strengthen, and then scale.
* Sector experience in packaging, manufacturing, food, industrial or related B2B environments essential.
What's in it for you
* Ownership of a significant revenue portfolio with real scope to make your mark.
* The chance to shape and embed best‐practice sales disciplines and customer‐led ways of working.
* A stable, proudly local manufacturing business with a strong product portfolio and loyal customer base.
* A leadership role that offers both strategic input and hands‐on involvement in the field.
* An opportunity to grow your career as the business continues to scale.
If you are an energetic, commercially minded Field Sales Leader who wants to be part of a growth story – and you enjoy combining strategy with hands‐on execution – we'd love to hear from you.
