Where You'll Be Working
Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation for up to 16 patients, alongside outpatient services and hydrotherapy. You'll be part of a close‑knit, collaborative team of nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, HealthShare and security staff, all working together to deliver planned, holistic and person‑centred care.
About The Role
As the Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist, you'll be based at Wingham Community Hospital, working within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team. The role is job‑shared with an experienced Occupational Therapist, providing a fantastic opportunity to learn, collaborate and grow your rehabilitation skills.
You'll receive a two‑day structured orientation, with additional days available if needed, and benefit from ongoing support through a broader network of Occupational Therapists at Manning Base Hospital. Peer supervision is readily available, ensuring you feel supported both clinically and professionally.
About You
You're a confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team and brings a practical, hands‑on approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
* Deliver face‑to‑face therapy to inpatients and outpatients.
* Facilitate therapy groups.
* Work closely with patients and their families to help them achieve meaningful, functional goals.
Requirements
* Must hold a bachelor or post‑graduate degree in Occupational Therapy with current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
