The opportunity
We're looking for aKey Account Managerto join our teamand be the 'face' of Mercedes-Benz Vans to some of Australia's most recognizable organisations, collaborating across a stakeholder network to foster strong relationships and grow the business.
Our team is based in Mulgrave, Melbourne, andthishybridrolehas great variety and flexibility, allowing a mix of working from our newly refurbished offices, home and onsite with our key account customers.
Key responsibilities:
* Successfully build and manage the relationship with our Key Account customers to ensure customer loyalty, and achieve / exceed annual volume and profitability targets
* Achieve customer satisfaction by meeting / exceeding expectations and maintaining quality long-term relationships with Key Account customers. Be seen to be a valuable and reliable business partner to Key Account customers
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customer service departments within the retailer network to ensure key account customers are supported when vehicles are delivered and in service.
* Grow the business through introducing Key Account customers to new options, new products and / or models or through identifying new opportunities within their existing fleet. Pursue other opportunities for growth via partnership initiatives, Service Plans, finance and fleet management, and roadside assistance programs
* Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of each Account including, but not limited to, specification, order planning, inventory management, parts support, technical support, product and technical training, general information liaison, responding to tenders or proposals, efficient and accurate invoicing and debtor maintenance
* Be the face of MBV and a key point of contact for all aspects of our Key Accountcustomers' needs
* Work closely with After-Sales, Sales Engineering, MBV dealerships and other key external suppliers (e.g. bodybuilders) and vendors (components, paint, livery) to ensure successful outcomes.
* Support retailer network to retain existing fleet customers and win new fleet business.
* Manage the Body Builder Due Diligence process with close liaison with internal and retailer stakeholders.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with strongbusiness development focus with experience in driving and winning new business. An important measure of success will be a commitment to deliver on our promises and bepassionateabout exceeding customer expectations. The right person for this role will have the ability to use the analysis of data and trends affecting ours and our customers' industries andcommunicateimpacts, benefits and solutions. As the key point of contact for the Key Account customers, you will have the confidence to present to and engage and negotiate with customers and key stakeholders across all management levels and organisations.
Along with a high attention to detail, a pro-active and'make it happen'attitude, an ability to multi-task across operational and strategic goals is essential. A tertiary qualification in business and / or technical automotive experience would be highly regarded, along with previous experience managing key account relationships, particularly in the automotive / fleet industry.
