We are seeking a Receptionist / Service Support Officer to join our Service Support team and contribute to the wider organisation by providing high-quality reception and administrative support. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of services across Parkerville Children and Youth Care, supporting the children, young people, and families we serve, many of whom have been impacted by trauma from abuse.

As the Receptionist / Service Support Officer, your duties and responsibilities will be to:
- Provide a professional, high-quality reception service, including answering phones, handling enquiries, and greeting clients, families, and visitors.
- Assist the Service Support Coordinator and other staff, with general administrative support, inclusive of printing, photocopying, quality controlling documents, correspondence, reports and presentations and other general administrative tasks.
- Take accurate meeting minutes and provide drafts for meeting organisers’ approval.
- Assist clinical and community services staff with client-related tasks, such as SMS reminders, appointment scheduling, enquiries, and referrals.
- Coordinate the ordering, supply, and distribution of stationery, office equipment, and consumable items efficiently.
In order to be successful for this role, the applicant will have:
- A qualification in Business Administration or a minimum of two years’ administrative experience within a trauma-related field (Clinical, Health, or Community Services setting preferred).
- Proven experience across a broad range of administration and office procedures, with advanced computer literacy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail in grammar and spelling.
- The ability to process complex information with a trauma-informed approach.
- Ability to maintain strict privacy and confidentiality in line with organisational policies.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
- Capacity to work in an environment involving exposure to complex and sometimes distressing information about children and young people.
- Commitment to contributing to the Purpose, Mission, and Values of Parkerville Children and Youth Care.
- Ability to provide a minimum of two referee checks.

This is a part-time, permanent position (0.6 FTE – three days per week). The position is based at our Rockingham Child, Youth and Family Centre (RCYFC), with occasional ad hoc coverage at our Armadale and Midland sites during staff leave.
