About the role
The Press Brake Operator role at Computer Room Solutions Pty Ltd, based in Dandenong South, is a full-time position within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for operating CNC Press Brake machines to produce high-quality metal components that support the company's diverse product range. The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of production.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication and Machine Operation
* Operate CNC Press Brake and related machinery used in production.
* Set up, program, and adjust machines for bend angles, sequences, and other specifications.
* Assist other machine operators when required.
Quality Assurance
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and manufacturing specifications to ensure accurate production.
* Inspect finished products for accuracy and defects, ensuring all components meet CRS quality standards.
* Identify and correct fabrication defects or deviations.
* Complete quality control documentation where required.
Maintenance and Safety
* Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on equipment to ensure optimal Performance.
* Follow all company rules, policies, and health and safety procedures.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
Workflow and Communication
* Complete assigned tasks efficiently and meet production timelines.
* Submit daily production records and ensure accuracy of time and activity reporting.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work and resolve issues.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years' experience operating Press Brake or similar machinery.
* Trade qualification in Engineering – Fabrication or related field.
* Strong background in manufacturing and sheet-metal work.
* Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
* Proficiency in setting up and programming CNC machines to produce precision parts.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
* Effective teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
