The Glenorchy Community Care Team provides vital mental health services across a broad and diverse catchment, including the City of Glenorchy, Brighton Municipality, Derwent Valley and the Midlands region. You will be joining a vibrant, multidisciplinary team that values collaboration, shared expertise and lived experience. Our team brings together Lived Experience Workers, Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychiatrists who work closely to deliver holistic, person‐centred care. The Role

As an Occupational Therapist – Mental Health, you will deliver high‐quality assessment, treatment and case management services within a multidisciplinary framework. Working under broad clinical and administrative direction from the Team Leader, you will maintain professional and clinical accountability to the Head of Discipline, with supervision provided or approved through discipline leadership.

Responsibilities

* Delivering comprehensive clinical services through assessment, case management and individual therapeutic interventions, including specialised therapies for consumers and their families or carers
* Providing evidence‐based assessment and treatment for individuals with major and complex mental health needs, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs
* Actively contributing as a member of a multidisciplinary team, offering professional support and consultation to colleagues as required
* Preparing high‐quality clinical and specialised reports to support care planning and service delivery
* Consulting and liaising with the broader health system, including GPs, other agencies and families or carers, to optimise service effectiveness, efficiency and continuity of care

Qualifications

* A minimum of two years' post‐graduate clinical experience in a setting relevant to Adult Community Mental Health
* Sound clinical knowledge and understanding of mental health, with the ability to assess and respond to a broad range of mental health presentations
* Demonstrated experience in the application of evidence‐based therapeutic interventions, with the capacity to continue developing specialist skills over time
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* A commitment to professional development, quality improvement and safe, ethical practice

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, or casual vacancies.

Salary

Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.

Salary Packaging

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Allowances

* Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
* Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum.

Eligibility

* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia
* Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
* Current Driver's Licence (desirable).
