Business Development Manager
This role involves leading market development and go-to-market execution of solutions across Oceania. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, business development, market analysis, sales performance management, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, customer engagement, relationship management, collaboration, support functions, proposal development, account networking, and team mentorship.
* Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans to articulate a strategic vision, action plans, competitive intelligence, investment strategies, and business cases targeting government and industry customers within Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania.
* Build and qualify a robust pipeline of new business opportunities based on test, evaluation, and assurance solutions.
* Conduct thorough market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes in the test, evaluation, and assurance solutions market segments.
* Meet or exceed sales targets based on the business pipeline and other emerging business opportunities.
* Position the company as a thought leader in the field of test, evaluation, and assurance solutions by participating in industry conferences, forums, and workshops.
* Engage senior stakeholders across CoA (e.g., CASG, DSTG, Defence Services, government departments) and prime contractors to align solutions with SDIP 7 priorities.
* Actively engage with relevant government, Defence, and other relevant industry customers to identify and shape opportunities.
* Build and maintain strong trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, Defence, military representatives, and industry partners.
* Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing to ensure alignment on customer requirements and drive the successful delivery of solutions.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, specialised training in test, evaluation, and assurance methodologies and practices, significant experience leading complex solution sales in Defence, government, or critical infrastructure sectors, evidence of successful bid management achievements, demonstrable experience working on complex ASDEFCON bids under tight deadlines, strong project management skills, tendering knowledge in Australia and New Zealand, experience working in matrix teams, and proficient tool usage.
