We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated and driven individual to join our successful team. Located in the south-eastern suburbs, we are close to public transport with free onsite parking.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Processing rebates and maintenance of rebate register.
- Liaising with the sales team to finalize credit claims.
- Proactively pursuing outstanding debtors.
- Reconciliation of selected customer accounts.
- Producing daily sales reports.
- Maintenance of customer database and processing new credit application forms.
- Allocating customer payments as per bank transaction and remittance advice.
- Processing of Accounts Payable invoices.
- Preparing creditor payments for internal approval.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to improve both AR and AP procedures.
- Supporting the Finance Team with general month-end and accounting tasks.
Requirements:
You are pragmatic and focused, with an eye for continuous improvement. Your initiative and enthusiasm is recognized as a strength. You can also demonstrate:
- Excellent accounts payable and general accounting experience.
- A working knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in intermediate-advanced MS Office suite especially Excel.
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
