The Participation and Activation Coordinator role is a dynamic position that requires creativity and strategic thinking. The job holder will design and deliver inclusive recreation, community, and sporting programs that enhance student experience and engagement at Murdoch University.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering participation programs and events that foster engagement and positive experiences. This will involve working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and developing innovative solutions to meet those needs.
The job holder will also be responsible for recruiting, training and managing staff for Murdoch Active programs. This will require strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and empower team members to achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver participation programs and events that foster engagement and positive experiences.
2. Recruit, train and manage staff for Murdoch Active programs.
3. Lead a team including Sports Officials, Medical Officers, Event Officers, and student volunteers.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate IV in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
* Experience delivering sporting leagues, events, and programs, with knowledge of competition management.
* Proven ability to supervise staff, including casuals and volunteers.
* Strong stakeholder and customer relationship management skills.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
