About this opportunity: We are seeking a passionate educator to join our vibrant school community as a dedicated Secondary Science Teacher. This exciting role is ideal for an individual who enjoys making science meaningful and engaging for students in Years 7 to 9.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive science curriculum, creating engaging and differentiated lesson plans, and managing laboratory facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for teaching students proper laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and ethical practices in scientific research, as well as designing and administering assessments to evaluate students' understanding and mastery of scientific concepts and skills.
Required skills and qualifications:
* A degree in Science Education or a related field
* Unrestricted working rights in Australia
* VIT registration or eligibility for registration
* Previous experience in teaching Secondary Science in Australia/NZ/Placement experience essential
