About Us
Multipurpose Health Service
The Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service provides first-line healthcare to the people of Woorabinda and surrounding populations.
Medical, nursing, allied health, operational, and administrative staff provide 24-hour accident and emergency care, low acuity inpatient care, residential aged care, and a wide range of community and public health services, including pharmacy and dental services.
The service operates across two facilities: an integrated hospital, residential aged care (4 beds), and community and primary facility, and an offsite community alcohol, drug, and mental health service facility.
A plan is underway to extend the building and service to cater for a 14-bed residential care unit and move all services to one address.
A renal satellite unit also operates on-site, managed by the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, Rockhampton Renal Service.
