The opportunity

Workskills is seeking an experienced and motivated Employment Services Manager to lead the delivery and performance of our employment service across Southern Tasmania.

This is a senior management role responsible for guiding Team Leaders and Employment Coaches who support people to build confidence, develop work-ready skills and progress toward sustainable education, training and employment pathways.

Success in this role comes from building a strong leadership culture, driving program performance and strengthening partnerships across training providers, employers and community services. You will play a key role in shaping supports and opportunities for Tasmanians while ensuring services deliver meaningful outcomes for participants and the community.

What you'll be responsible for

You will lead the strategic delivery and performance of employment services (Workforce Australia Services) across the region, including:

* Leading and developing Team Leaders to drive high-quality support for participants.
* Creating a strong performance culture focused on engagement, progression and employment outcomes.
* Using service data and operational insights to guide performance and strengthen results.
* Ensuring services remain person-centred, strengths-based and focused on meaningful pathways.
* Strengthening partnerships with schools, training providers, employers and community organisations
* Maintaining strong program governance, compliance and operational integrity.

About you

You are an experienced leader who understands how to build strong teams and deliver meaningful outcomes for people.

You will bring:

* Demonstrated experience leading teams delivering employment, education or human services programs.
* Strong leadership capability with experience developing leaders and driving team performance.
* Experience supporting people facing barriers to education, training or employment.
* The ability to interpret service data and translate insights into clear priorities and actions.

Relevant qualifications in employment services, social sciences, education, community services or a related field will be highly regarded.
