Legal Counsel

About the Role:
The Legal Counsel will report to the General Counsel and provide legal expertise and support across all aspects of our business. This includes matters related to contractual, property, employment, regulatory, and commercial issues. The role also involves providing strategic legal advice, contract drafting, and negotiation in collaboration with senior legal counsel to support our projects and operations.
* Supporting senior legal counsel and general counsel on strategic initiatives and legal projects;
* Advising on legal responsibilities, disputes, and regulatory compliance across our operations;
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts including procurement, construction, consultancy, and confidentiality agreements;
* Monitoring legislative changes impacting our business, providing legal input into risk management processes, and developing legal strategies;
* Developing and updating policies and procedures in response to legislative or business changes;
* Engaging and managing external legal counsel when specialist advice is required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We seek an experienced lawyer with a tertiary law degree from a common law jurisdiction and a minimum of 5 years PQE, ideally with experience in commercial, property, employment, environment, construction, or resources law. The successful candidate should be admitted to practice in Australia and eligible for a WA practicing certificate.
