Robe River Services Pty Ltd (RRS) is a wholly owned entity of the Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (RRKAC), established to build a strong economic foundation by creating self-determined revenue streams through the development of commercial enterprises, employment opportunities, and capacity-building initiatives that align with the aspirations, culture and values of the Robe River Kuruma community.
As part of its strategic growth and strengthening of governance and commercial performance, RRS is seeking Expressions of Interest for an Independent Director to join its Board of Directors.
We are looking for a committed and values driven Independent Director who can:
* Provide strong leadership and strategic direction across RRS and Joint Ventures
* Contribute strong financial and commercial expertise to support sustainable, long term economic outcomes
* Represent and advocate for the interests of the Robe River Kuruma community
* Strengthen governance, accountability, and financial oversight
As an independent, non-member of RRS, this role brings professional expertise, objectivity, and an external perspective to Board deliberations and decision-making. The Independent Director plays a critical role in ensuring sound financial management, risk oversight, and commercial discipline while supporting culturally informed economic growth.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated interest in supporting sustainable economic outcomes for current and future generations
* Demonstrated leadership experience in community, corporate, commercial, or cultural settings
* Extensive experience leading enterprise-wide risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across strategic, financial, operational, legal and reputational domains within complex commercial and Joint Venture environments
* Willingness to develop commercial opportunities that deliver a strong connection for members to RRK Country and Cultural Heritage
* High standard of personal integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
* Capacity to attend scheduled Board meetings, participate in decision-making, and engage in relevant training and development
