Job Description
As a skilled Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of water and wastewater infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-level technical investigations, reviews, and advisory services related to mechanical aspects of water and wastewater assets.
You will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing mechanical systems across the asset base, including pumping stations, treatment works, pipelines, mechanical equipment, filtration, and disinfection systems. You will also develop and refine systems development plans, asset management strategies, and lifecycle cost plans for mechanical assets.
In addition, you will plan, conduct, and coordinate audits and compliance reviews against water/wastewater standards; identify remediation actions and drive implementation. You will provide expert advisory support to project teams, operations, and senior management; contribute to technical governance and design assurance processes.
Furthermore, you will mentor and coach junior engineers; share knowledge through reviews, workshops, and technical notes. You will engage with regulators, contractors, and stakeholders; ensure conformance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
