The Role
As the HR Manager, you will be the cornerstone of the people and culture strategy. This is a hands-on, generalist role that requires strong practical experience across the full employee lifecycle and a deep understanding of workplace health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generalist HR Management: Oversee all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, and policy development.
* Work Health & Safety (WHS): Champion a proactive safety culture, manage WHS compliance, risk assessments, incident reporting, and workers' compensation claims.
* Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small, dedicated HR team, fostering their professional development and ensuring efficient service delivery.
* HR Strategy: Work closely with the Management team to align HR initiatives with the organisation's strategic goals and operational needs.
* Compliance: Ensure all HR practices and WHS procedures comply with relevant Australian legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.

You are a confident, energetic professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for people and business. You thrive in a dynamic, community setting and are ready to take ownership of the HR function.
Essential Criteria:
* Tertiary qualifications in HR or Business related discipline.
* Proven experience as a Human Resources Generalist, including significant responsibility for the full HR lifecycle.
* Demonstrated experience and strong practical knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation and management systems.
* Strong commercial acumen
* Experience in leading and managing a small team.
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* A valid Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel within our service regions.
* The ability to work the agreed 30 hours per week and occasional, reasonable overtime when required to meet organisational needs.
