They're looking for a leader who can own product programs commercially and technically – from business case through to launch and lifecycle management. You will lead and develop an engineering team, set the direction, manage external partners, and be accountable for the commercial outcomes of everything you bring to market. This role reports directly to the General Manager of a small specialist business.
You will lead:
* End‐to‐end product development, concept through launch.
* Coach and develop a team of engineers.
* Business cases, ROI, margin targets and cost structures.
* Complex multi‐product programs – on time, to budget.
* Design‐to‐cost and value engineering initiatives.
* Supplier and development partner relationships.
* Commercial alignment across manufacturing, supply chain, sales and marketing.
* Compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
About you:
* Engineering degree and background in automotive, consumer goods, outdoor or adjacent industries.
* Real commercial accountability – managing budgets and timelines.
* Experience leading, coaching and developing engineering teams.
* Solid stakeholder and supplier engagement skills.
* A genuine affinity for adventure and the outdoors.
